Take the flame from the lantern.
Take the flame from the lantern.
The world is carved. Illuminate.
Visitors enter an engraved dore world, passages and details uncertain. A single flame burns. Visitors take it and explore. the engrave world reacts to the light.
The engraving itself stays fixed. Its carved grooves catch the flame from different angles: one face brightens, another falls into shadow, and details appear as the light passes. Exploring means looking closely and choosing where to bring the light.
In the full experience, discovered paths would lead to the Store, Project Purgatory, Journal, About, Mailing List, etc.
The city images and movable flame establish the setting and central interaction. This close-up shows the carved surface we want the light to reveal. Responsive V-groove lighting, coherent cast shadows, and navigable paths have not yet been built.
